Garlic Butter Shrimp is a flavorful, quick-to-make dish featuring shrimp sautéed in a rich garlic butter sauce with a hint of lemon and a touch of heat.
Ingredients:
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup chicken broth or white wine
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions:
Prepare the Shrimp: Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season the shrimp with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
Cook the Garlic: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant. Be careful not to let the garlic burn.
Sauté the Shrimp: Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
Add Liquid: Pour in the chicken broth or white wine and lemon juice. Stir to combine and cook for an additional 2 minutes, allowing the sauce to reduce slightly.
Finish and Garnish: If desired, sprinkle the shrimp with crushed red pepper flakes for extra heat. Garnish with chopped parsley.
Serve: Serve the garlic butter shrimp immediately with lemon wedges on the side. Enjoy with your choice of side dishes or over pasta or rice.
