One day, while floating over a meadow, Cumulus noticed the flowers wilting in the heat. They looked thirsty and sad, and Cumulus felt a pang of sympathy. He wanted to help them, but he was afraid he wasn’t big enough to make a difference.
Determined to try, Cumulus gathered all his courage. He puffed himself up and concentrated with all his might. Slowly, he began to darken and grow heavier. The other clouds watched in surprise. “What are you doing, little cloud?” they asked.
“I want to help the flowers,” Cumulus replied. “I may be small, but I can try!”
With a final push, Cumulus released a gentle drizzle of rain. At first, it was just a few drops, but then it turned into a steady shower. The flowers perked up, their colors brightening as they drank in the much-needed water. The meadow came alive with joy, and butterflies danced around the blooms.
The other clouds cheered for Cumulus. “You did it! You helped the flowers!” they exclaimed.
Cumulus beamed with pride, realizing that even a little cloud can make a big difference. From that day on, he floated with newfound confidence, knowing that everyone, no matter how small, has the power to help others.
